Convergence
This MSG crystal grew from one point into radiant burst of needle-like structures. Under crossed polarizers, the crystal bends light into every color of the rainbow. A dark cross emerges where the crystal’s optic axis aligns with the microscope’s light path, causing the polarized waves to cancel each other out. The result is a beautiful convergence of color, structure, and shadow.
